Moran Eyecare was established in October 2024 when optometrist Heather Moran took over the practice from Gillian Reid. With over 15 years of experience, Heather is an independent prescriber and a trainer for the Ayrshire Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Programme, bringing a wealth of knowledge and clinical expertise to the practice.

Originally founded in 2008 by Gillian Reid, the practice was built on a vision of delivering the highest quality eye care and service to patients. That commitment continues under Heather’s leadership.

Based in Newmilns, East Ayrshire, Moran Eyecare proudly serves the west of Scotland, including areas within close proximity to South Lanarkshire, providing trusted and personalised eye care to the local community.
